Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how emailticking.com (“the Site,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our pages and services — signup/login, top-ups, buying temp emails, polling for codes and message bodies, and related features. Using the Site means you agree to this policy along with our Terms of Use and Service Agreement.

1) Scope

This policy covers our temp-email / activation-code service, plus accounts, balance top-ups, and the open API.

2) What we collect

We only collect what’s needed to run the service and keep it safe:

2.1 Account info

  • Email address
  • Password (never stored in plain text — we keep a hashed value only)
  • ApiKey (for open API auth; may be masked when shown)

2.2 Login & security

  • Signup IP, last login IP
  • Login logs (method, IP, User-Agent)
  • Rate-limit counters for fraud control (failed logins, code-send frequency, order frequency — usually short-lived cache with TTL)

2.3 Email orders & message content

When you buy a temp email and poll for a code, we process and store order-related data such as:

  • Order ID, target site, email domain, status, and timestamps
  • Assigned temp address and upstream activation ID
  • Code content (if any), full email body (if any), and related logs (delivery, support, refunds, quality stats)
  • Order source (web/API) and client IP (fraud control)
  • Cost/sell-price fields for billing, reconciliation, and support

2.4 Top-ups & payments

When you top up, we record:

  • Top-up order ID, amount, status, created/paid times
  • Third-party transaction IDs / callback payloads (reconciliation and issue handling)

Important: we don’t store full card numbers or similar sensitive payment details. Payments run through third-party processors; we only receive payment results and transaction identifiers.

2.5 Cookies & sessions

We use cookies/sessions to keep you logged in and for security checks. These are typically necessary cookies — turning them off may break login or other features.

3) How we use information

  • Run the product: signup/login, show balance, create email orders, poll and return codes and message bodies
  • Keep accounts and payments safer: stop brute-force attempts, API abuse, weird ordering, and fraud
  • Payments & reconciliation: create top-up orders, handle callbacks, update balance
  • Support & disputes: refunds, reconciliation, quality issues
  • Legal compliance: keep records where the law requires it

4) Who we share with

To make the product work, we may share necessary data with:

  • Upstream inbox providers — to buy temp emails, fetch codes, and cancel orders (site/domain and similar params out; address, status, code, and message content back).
  • Payment processors — for top-ups and reconciliation (order ID, amount, status, etc.).
  • Email delivery services — to send one-time login codes and password-reset codes (your signup email and the code).
  • Ads / analytics (if enabled) — per their own privacy policies.
  • Hosting & ops — app/database hosting, logs, and security tooling, only as needed to run the service.

We share the minimum needed for the job and lock down access where we can. We don’t sell your personal information.

5) How long we keep it

  • Account data: while the account exists; after you ask to delete it, we process that in a reasonable time (except where law requires retention).
  • Email orders & messages: kept long enough for delivery, support, and disputes, then cleaned up or anonymized per our retention rules.
  • Top-up / reconciliation records: may be kept longer for finance and compliance.
  • Security logs & rate limits: counters are usually short-lived; security logs are kept for a period as needed.

6) Security

We use measures such as hashed passwords, access control, session hardening, rate limiting / fraud controls, and locked-down DB/cache access. No internet transmission or storage is 100% risk-free.

7) Your choices

Where the law allows, you can email us to access, correct, delete, or close your account. We may ask you to verify identity first.

You can also view orders and top-ups and reset your ApiKey in Account. Some order and payment records may need to stay for contract, dispute, or legal retention periods and can’t be wiped immediately.

8) Minors

This Site isn’t aimed at minors. If you’re a minor, please don’t use it.

9) Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates take effect when posted here. Keep using the Site and you’re acknowledging the updated version.
